Tried to hail you @3:30PM today as you flew by the North River!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

It's been an f'ing turkey shoot for the stick boats all week.
Lots of fish, when they go on the feed, it's gonna be good.

most of you guys fish different areas but not so far southwest of where I live has had its moments recently but they did not want to play yesterday, saw them but no takers. A few whites are around too...cool fish. Nice day on the water though
Looking for east reports as well (off chatham/Nantucket)...

Counldn't swing the outside trip with guys this weekend, so hunted around near-shore yesterday morning for some rec sized fish that were rumored to be in the area earilier this week. Towed the bars, chains, & liveys over a 20 mile circuit; had couple scratches on the sounder. No surface activety unitl we picked up to head to the barn.

Spotted some birds gather off to the east in a slick & just knew it was gonna go off any second, got the chains back in and Ronz @ the ready. As we roll up the sounder erupts in color & half dozen 4-5'ers slash the surface 20 yards to port. Made a couple frantic casts but to no avail & then its over as quickly as it started. Worked the area for another half hour but nothing above or below. Hind sight maybe I should have gotten up wind & drifted thru the baits & chunks while jigging, but???

Fish are around certain areas. Lots of fish being taken to the white truck some days. Deadsville other days. Macks and pogies are working slammer; blues are here as are bass. Give me some wind and my kite please. Look for the circling planes.....

Bring lots of bait slammer blues and huge bass around.
Had a few good explosions but the fish kept missing the pointy thing. saw many harpooned. They were all just gorged and lazy and wouldn't eat

I may make an exploratory trip wed/thur if the weather cooperates. I went fluke fishing yesterday and it was slow and all I was thinking about was...I could be offshore right now...who's idea was this?

OT...PS striperman36....remember all boats are for always for sale and all fishermen are always thinking about getting a new/different boat. Right now I saw a wesmac I am drooling over.. Talk about a battleship. And then there is this beast: http://www.yachtworld.com/core/listi...oat_id=2289353

Another humbling day on the water for us yesterday. May need to get a harpoon and plane if they won't feed. Maybe just the plane and will send Hot Reels in for the harpoon shot

Did a Sat/Sun trip to the Tails with only a little action to show for the effort. Nothing from 330pm on Sat to dark and then we threw out some baits and at 345am RIRockhound got into it with a 135-140lb Mako. 20 mins later gaff in and in the boat.
On the troll at 430am produced 3 YFT 20-55lbs on beautiful conditions. A few boats had a few fish but overall the radio had a lot of frustration. We marked lots of bait/birds/dolphins and pilot whales but pretty slow.
Overall a good trip for the first offshore venture with more coming.

[SIGPIC][/SIGPI I cut my deck to the Queen of Spades, but the cards were all the same

Spent the day floating around with the usual offshore suspects for nothing to show. Tuna everywhere but no joy. Mark I take it you didnt score when we left? Frustrating day out there. The Seacraft is sweet. I figured between you, Steve and myself someone would have hooked.
FWIW- That harpooner on that white boat should switch categories. He was O for the day and he threw a lot.

Tuna can make u eat humble pie when they are all over the place and will just not take a nice fresh live bait. Sure is fun to watch though. We had 2 finback whales the size of 18 wheelers come up 15 yards from the boat, maybe they think my black boat is a baby humpback Even funnier at drift we also had a humpback come out with his tail on one side of my boat and the head on the other, scared the pants off us,the boat must look like a calf Wish it looked like a baby tuna so we could get a few of those closer to the boat yesterday. Great group of fisherman go out of Green Harbor always seem friendly and courteous at the ramp and offshore as well, been a pleasure getting to know all of you over the years.

Picked up one 74.5" fish (50" girth) yesterday...only hit all day, really slow day. Whales, dolphins moving very slowly, saw little surface activity, covered a lot of ground , got nailed by a nasty storm and pulled into to ACK to let lit blow by...did not get home till 2:30 am...
