Geez I hate when that happens

Heard reports of schools of Albies moving thru RI Sound. I ran from Newport to Jamestown up the coast to Point Judith. Found nothing barley saw a seagull flying around. Then I read a report in the local paper on how hot the fishing is. My Arse.

Down my way had one on for a sec at dawn from the beach. Bailed and went paddling instead after they moved out

Nothing this morning on Jamestown. I was surprised to not see any bait the 4 hours I was there.

I've caught albies almost every single day from shore for the past 3 weeks. . yesterday hooked 3 only landed 1.

The last couple mornings were slow because it was a #^&#^&#^&#^&ty tide. had to wait for the incoming tide to bring me some fish

Sat 9/22 found them in Ct, small craft warnings, had them all to ourselves for hours, boated over 40 between the 3 of us.
This past Sat found them on the NY side, but probably 20 boats chasing them, caught about 15 until we headed to Fishers - nothing there.
They're around.

Chasing fishing reports results in frustration far more often than success in my experience.

Worked for me this weekend. Was told where they were and they were there and cooperative. Had an idea they would be around but hearing confirmation before you head out saves time and fuel. Not magazine or online reports but people I know personally
