Is the fuji K series tisic concep guide to replace tsvsg guides

Fuji discontinued the TSVSG guides and I was wondering If the K series TISICS would be a replacment for them. The difference in the guides looks like the double brace coming upto the ring on the K series has a flare outwards vs the tsvsg is straight.

Long of the short is yes. The difference is that on " standard" KW guides size 25 and down are basicly the same heights as the old SV. The KW 30 and 40 are the same as the old HV. Now Fuji makes KW 40L and 30L which are the the same as the SV.

The frame tilt, The frame legs angles curve outward and the place where the frame hits the ring is placed higher which has caused a problem with wind knots getting caught and cut off! It's just a whole new series to replace the HV and I'm sure at some point the SV in time. Titanium KW though are made with Sic rings or Alconite rings which was never the case with HV or SV titaniums.

Wonder what happened to all the other replies between jan 27 and now? I know I made some.

Anyway , Fibrestar has it correct although I have not seen wind knot problems with KW's.

There are two threads and I replied here and everyone else replied to the other. I didn't see the other until after I replied!

Oh I'm not saying the K guides are making wind knots just that if you get one you run a good chance that it will get caught in the V crotch on the K. I have not seen this on a SV or HV style frame. I have seen wrap arounds on those guides though.

OK , I see the double post.

Yeah , they get stuck in the V on the SV's and the HV's sometimes , especially leader knots. Pretty rare though.
