Tube n' worm

When you are trolling with a tube and worm and you feel a bite, but you dont think it's on the hook do you keep paddling or do you stop? I tried this last summer and I was having trouble setting the hook or whatever.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Paddle harder! Chances are you are quick to grab the rod. They are more than likey giving it a whack, just dig in and let the motion of the yak moving thru the water set it. You will know when she is on

Used hard and put away dirty....

hulk, you will definately know when there is a fish on. A sharp jerk and then the rod returns back is a fish strike but not hooked. a slow steady downward pull is either sea salad or the bottom. Even the smallest fish will cause a commotion on the end. If they miss it keep paddling. If they didn't take the whole worm they will come back for the rest.
