Jonatha Brooke

Anybody listening to her...

I've been listening to some tracks from her CD The Works

Pretty impressive - Woody Guthrie tunes with her own spin and a great line-up - Steve Gadd on drums, Keb Mo and a lot of other great sidemen and guests - Joe Sample, Derek Trucks, Hiram Bullock

Nice Guthrie tune with Keb Mo

And a clip on making The Works

"There is no royal road to this heavy surf-fishing. With all the appliances for comfort experience can suggest, there is a certain amount of hard work to be done and exposure to be bourne as a part of the price of success." From "Striped Bass," Scribner's Magazine, 1881.
