Lathe Accessories

I'm starting to look into getting a Duplicator for my lathe, Jet Mini. Any Recomendations as to what the preferred one is? I see a lot of people talking about the Vega. But for some reason I keep thinking there was some issues mentioned w/ those and the Jet Mini's. As always any info would be much appreciated.

Also Looking to get a Bigger Tool rest for the lathe if anyone has any info on those that would be great also. probably 10"

Go to Penn State ind. for the tool rest. Or have one made.
The Vega dup is by far the best. The only issue is you can't put it on the back of the Jet becasue it hits the tail stock tightening lever. I made a quick change rig for mine and love it. Paul Moriarty made the parts for it!

Got my vega mounted on the back of a Jet. Just make sure the tailstock lever doesn't hit the mounting brackets. Adjust the bracket in as needed. No problems.

Hey Bill, You can use the Vega on the back of the Jet just fine!! Instead of using the lever to tighten the tailstocc housing, use a 3/8 ratchet and tighten the nut underneath the housing while keeping the lever in place, cant recall what size the nut is though. Tightens as well as the lever, if not better.
