The more I think about this the more I think you should have the originals back. If they were displayed at the Boys and Girls club, on loan, from your father to the club, I think they still belong to him, his family, or estate. I know, broken record, but I thi k you should have those back. I would speak with an attorney.

It took a few months, but my fathers drawing, that he did in 1935, at age 13, has been returned to my family. It means a lot to us. My mom was very emotional when she finally got to see and hold the original.
My dad rose above all of the adversity he faced as a child, raised a family of eight children, and instilled values in all of us that will guide us for our entire lives.

your dad certainly had an eye for architecture
no pun intended
drawing all the support structures to hold up
the levels above took incredible imagination.

there are some imperfections on the first
set of stone stair's walls not being level
but that's what makes it ART and also makes
it quite valuable. thanks for sharing this
great story Master stair builder.
