It would be cool to build a PT Boat to scale and put 3 of those
engines in as their power. I believe the WW 2 boats were powered
by 3 V12 Packard engines.

Too Cool!

Am I wrong or does the whole thing rely on the grease. I didn't notice (may have missed it ) any oil pump/circulation?

man I wish i could make something like that in my cellar!
