best job on the planet... how many of us could be wrong that often and still be employed...

A good run is better than a bad stand!

Here's my forecast for mike...feel free to critique

Friday
Looks like Friday will be a somewhat choppy run down. Seas 3-4 out of the North/ Northeast. If you come through the canal, this will be perfect for the run out to the canyons. A little bumpy in Cape Cod bay. Maybe even bring the boat down to Green Harbor tonight and anchor up in Saquish.

Saturday
Southwest winds 10-20 seas 2-4 offshore. Not entirely comfortable but very doable. You’ll have plenty of company. All of the big boats are heading down. Night chunk bite will suck.

Sunday
Southwest winds 10-20 seas 3-5 offshore Night chunk bite will suck.

Monday
Southwest winds 10-20 gusts to 25. Good for a ride home from the canyons. Will mean that regal sword gets snotty. You’ll be trolling one way.

we pulled the plug on this long weekend run. I have been out there too many times when the forecast is varying like this. It always bites me in the ass. (this time it will probably be beautiful) If I was in a 60'er I wouldn't think twice...but I am in a 32

Going to try something else on friday (just a day trip)

Doesn't go far enough offshore that I could see?

The window I need is 100+ miles away and 48-72hrs in the future!

I use "weather alert" app which is the sail flow app I believe, love it. You can also get real time updates, so if you can check it when you wake up to make sure nothing changed while you were asleep!

Naah...If you have to hold on the entire trip it is not fun. When you can walk around comfortably then its a good time.
There is still time

Sounds like we didn't miss much south, a few scattered reports of some fish, lots of swings and misses....

Lol weatherman have a safety precautionary measure of will and will not,But if you have plans that day then it gets quite rusty as you have to cancel the plan and just sit doing nothing .
