I don't care if you're 9 or 90. Mackerel fishing is just plain fun. The gurdy kind of takes the fun completely out of it.

Did you see that rig up your way that works like a belt, it's a continuous jig, down one side up the other..
Last seen it one street back from the bluff in a driveway ,,, corner Sagamore St. ? Probably fishing now...

I mac fish for bait and have a hard time stopping, fun stuff... :-)

I have not seen that. But can picture that in my head working.

Hell as I type I am about 12k miles away and missing all the fun until late summer!!!

There is one comm boat out of scituate that has about 4 auto jiggers a bit different from a gurdy that mackerel fishes when the price is right.

You are so right about mac fishing. When your trying to get 40 or so to go fishing it is so hard to stop baiting to go fishing. Like eating Lays potato chips.....
