Wake baits... Questions

Have a friend that wants me to make him some freshwater 9" wake baits, but i don't know where to start never fished one don't know what they look like. Help please.... Lol

What is your / your friend's definition of "wake bait" action? If you can't get a lure in your hands, he should be able to describe what he wants.

I make a 8.25", fish-shaped needle that sinks but rises to push a wake on a slow retrieve. It undulates lazily. If what he wants is in that vacinity I might be able to offer some experienced help.

Also, ask your buddy what lure weight range he is thinking.

Haven't done anything yet with it. He supposed to give something to go by haven't heard from him in a bit. I know it's surf around 9"and would like double or triple jointed
