Horrible spring

Seems myself and others are having a poor spring here in MT Hope bay I have only caught 3 keepers . On 5 different trips. Bait was a little late and I always had live pogies. When this time of year 3 fish on one trip was the norm ..... I don't see this a doom and gloom predictions about Bass .. just a current observation. Who knows it could change in a day

Sorry if it sounded like poor me only 3 fish ..that was not its intent .. but rather what's happening in the bay ..

All the fish I have caught have been Fatter than usual for this time of year

Yeah. I feel your pain. I haven't even caught a keeper yet this year and it's not for a lack of effort. But I'm still not gonna take up golf

I am just pissy…. Have had a slight setback and waiting to see what it means…. Felt like it was going to collapse under me three times. That millisecond of terror sucks. Still on two crutches when I should have gravitated to a cane or be close. Just a little edgy, but still off the butts.

Enjoy the little ones too, for me, Wayne....

Spent more time on repairs than fishin so far but fished enough to agree with Wayne...
things just don’t feel right, nothing but wind and rain, the macs are tiny tiny and sitting on the bottom, local herring run just about died, the squid run was nothing like it’s been, I hear the Race is dead and the usual pile of small fish down inside the bay (cc) isn’t close to being a pile...

On a bright note, the BSB are huge IMO and I got 5 bugs out of one pot with a two day soak.....

Ross,,,, stay with it, it’ll get better.... :-)

Nothin but flip flops again in a notorious big fish spot. And left my simms boots in the parking lot. Went back and gone. So now I'm bootless to boot. At least they were pretty much shot anyway Good grief.

Horrible spring ???

I got a very late start due to my boat getting a complete rehab/facelift
(it’s for sale now)
Got launched finally a week ago yesterday.
Smallest fish I’ve caught 18 lbs, biggest 46 lbs and Bunch of 20-25 lbs fish.

Maybe you should spend less time in the political forum bitching about Trump and more time fishing and/trying different spots and methods.
You could also buy my boat

No idea how to post pictures from iPad or iPhone.
As far as I know John R doesn’t have support to upload from Mac but if it will make you happy I’ll text or email them to you to post

I have been staying away from the Libs on the political forum and have spent some Great Days on the water with my daughter. So far her best this year has been just over 20 pounds at 37 inches. We have caught fish every single trip. Striper, fluke and squid... it's been an Awesome start of the year.

Trump Trump Trump.... LOL had to throw that in there... hahahahahaha

Oh Ya WE KEEP OUR FISH AND EAT THEM... fish are food not friends....

Still haven't gotten off the dock, problem starting the starboard engine. Hopefully it'll be fixed this week.

Thursday I went out for about 3-4 hrs by myself to do some scouting as I was booked for Friday.
Had 5 fish, all 20-25 lbs.
released 4, kept a 25 lb fish as I got a few people who asked me for some filets.
Instead of killing it or making a mess of my boat I stuck it in my livewell (livewell is below deck and huge)
I got close to my marina, made a few calls, no answers so I said I’m not going to kill this fish.
Pulled it out of the livewell, back in the water making sure it was good & lively and let it go.
Maybe one of these guys who can’t catch a keeper may want to go fish near my marina 😜
