Is the laptop fan still running? If the fan has died in the laptop...the laptop will soon follow.

They need ventilation which is not very good when sitting on your lap!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

unscrew the screws that hold the fan plate in, and clean out all the dust and crap in there with something. you'll be amazed, its like cleaning out the lint in the dryer.

something clever and related to fishing

Which reminds me, you guys should all clean out the lint in your dryer vents this weekend.

I did mine a while ago and was astounded how much lint was in there.

vacume out the fan area if possible

The fan is not operating. Can't open the cover plate without removing the trim surrounding the whole keyboard.... Going to see if the techies at Staples can help out.

Staples is really pushing their PC service, they might even do it for free if it doesn't need parts.

NOT THAT ITS RELATED

just installed a double fan video card in my PC to enhance graphics
and it now is blowing cool air.... turns out the processor was covered
in brown dust underneath the fan...q-tips yanked it all out with ease
like miniature dust busters.

Hard drive is dying... not replacing it, so copy data and pics to a stick and use it until it dies..... Will find a cheap machine to surf web when it happens.
