Washing Machine Help

The place I moved into is set up for the washing machine in the basement. The problem is the drain for the machine is set up in the rafters about 7' off the ground and my machine can't pump water that high. Anybody have a suggestion on how to go about setting this up to remedy the problem...maybe put in a high power pump into the machine?

Tell the landlord that the basement keeps flooding.
Maybe he'll fix it for ya.

Buy a new washer or put the old one on blocks. Will a foot do it?

Arrow

here is an idea:

instead of modifying the washing machine to pump the water higher
leave it alone and add a large barrel next to it to unload your grey-water into and then pump from that barrel with a separate pump up to the drain pipe that's too high to pump to from the washer.

sure.....it's a temporary solution..... but it'll get ya washing again.

I have extended the hoses on many Machines and the pump should pump that high,

Is the problem that the drain exits the house that high or some hack installed the drain for the washer that high?

Go to a plumbing supply house and buy a laundry tub with pump.Your machine should pump 7 feet vertical.
