A good day to work on some new stuff

What with the snow and all I thought I would fire up the lathe. This si the result.

First a large jointed swimmer (Thanks Joe for the inspiration)

Another view. It will be mackerel when done. Hope to be able to cast it in the canal when the macks are along shore being pushed. "Hope to" is the operative term.

A concept darter. It swims but kind of tightly. Maybe I should make it a jointed.

Finally, 2na was so enamored over a mini pencil he saw at PF I offered to make him a couple. This is the proto and it cast well and swims like its bigger brothers.

My inspiration was the Mag Darter and also the Greek. He was making these.
