Hey Spence, what was your address again?
I hear they like home built ponds with running water.

Another! Not 10' from the garage. This one I wasn't expecting so close to the others I've gotten near this. Most of them have been around this one tree and some would sit on the lower branches of the tree. This one went under the fence in front of the boat-must have been the same one digging in the loom pile on the other side of the fence. If that's the case there's more than one in each burrow. Frig me. I haven't even started on the back of the yard yet. I saw two more to the side today but couldn't get to them with tree branches in the way.

The local foxes and neighborhood cats will appreciate the offering.

I believe I got another one. Will know tomorrow. I had a good shot at one last night I thought I hit it, it ran in his burrow a foot away. I covered the burrow with my foot and covered the one next to the garage again. Neither have been disturbed today. If they both go untouched again tomorrow then he just pooped out underground.

3 fresh holes today next to the side door. One out back when I walked in my office. Scared him away no way for a shot there. Did get off two shots into on coming out of the new holes. The first shot he acted funny like I hit him and he went up next to the rock. I reloaded and by the time I was ready again he had perked up and jumped up the steps. I put another shot into him and pretty sure I hit him from 10' away. He hasn't come back.

I think it's going to be a long summer.

Fresh digs again next to the house today. Both sides. Egads. No wonder why that fisher cat has been hanging around. I'm just giving him free dinner with all the carcasses. Got to spit out that little lead pit though

5 at the shop today and a mouse inside on a trap. Found an injured bird today too. He's sleeping in a box on the porch. Chipmunks got into the chickadee birdhouse and ate all the eggs

Fresh digs still!

Son comes out yesterday when I was standing behind the truck waiting for him to come out of the burrow. He wants to help so I put him at a corner of the other truck and tell him to stand like a statue and be quiet, if he sees anything move to tell me.

SOB!

Doesn't a chipmunk pop out FOUR feet from the kid. NO WONDER why I have been having a hard time getting these bastids in the driveway. Because while I'm standing there watching the burrow next to the garage the damn things are laughin at me and coming out 5' behind me. WTF

I put a one way door on a comercial style eel trap... fill the back with the 1/2 eaten strawberries they leave behind and a hand full of seeds ( in a tuna) can... I've got as many as 5 in one haul...

A good run is better than a bad stand!
