We put a pounding on them sunday morning. Nothing double digits but about 8-10 fish from 6-8 lbs. We released a bunch of 18-20" fish. Nice to fill the freezer.

Can’t imagine the forecast changing enough to get out this weekend..

I’m officially bailing out, been dealing with torn rotator cuff muscles and a pinched nerve in my neck for evah.... getting old sucks...

My primary tells me today the X-ray says, call it quits for the year, and headed for an MRI.... Don’t mess with this he says....
Gonna listen this time.... :-)

I’ve put myself on a steady dose of Dewars til next April....

If u’s guys do it next weekend or any time for that matter , I’ve got buckets of crabs for ya,,,,

Heal up Ray. I have to agree it does not look worth the drive for this weekend. Been an uphill battle all season....

Tough for this weekend

Looks bad, and wind predictions, in my experience, are usually low....like today it was to be 10mph until 11am, it was 18 at 8:30am...yuck.

Anyone have tips for keeping green crabs alive. Got most of a bucket this morning and looks like will have to wait for Monday !

Don't put water in the bucket, but layer the top real good with wet kelp.
Put in cool place, fridge even. Should be good for a few days

Remember, no water...

......it finally happened, there are no more secret spots

What Bloo said....

Frig or in shed this time year... the fresher the better they stay on hook me thinks...

I keep a holding pen next to the trap with a 3 hr. tide window,

I have kept crabs in a Home Depot bucket for 4 or 5 days before. Like Bloocrab mentioned its important to have no water as the water will get toxic with their waste in less than a day and quickly kill the lot of them. Last month I actually forgot a bucket of crabs I had shaded in the wood shed for almost a week and was shocked to find nearly all of them were still alive. If you know anyone with chickens, they love crushed little crabs (mine get a special treat every time I go togging)

Looks like a blow out up this way too.... 15-25 SW with gust to 35
Doesn't even sound like good boat hauling weather, but temps are headed lower all next week, so...… I hate it when the door gets slammed shut on a season.

I was talking about the first image you posted of the graph you knob...The map with the arrows all pointing the same direction makes it pretty clear. Pretty cool site.
