SSB guide wrap colors?

Greetings,

I just found my winter project. It is a Lamiglas SSB1363M. This particular blank is not translucent brown but is a solid brown/plum color.
As I have very limited color-matching skills, I would like to get some feedback on potential color schemes for the guide wraps. If anyone has or has seen an S-glass rod with a tasteful color combo I would really appreciate some ideas.

Thanks

Most of my S-glass are either red/black with gold trim, or red/gold.

Of course, they're all the older translucent blanks.

Question for Mike P

Mike,
I have a Lami S glass 136 3m that I cut back to 10ft 8in from a article I read. It's a nice blank but I would like to make it stiffer by cutting it to 10 ft.The rod is conventional. Have you cut any of yours from 11'4in to 10 ft. from the tip only? If so how do you like it for heavy jigs and skins ect. Should bring it to a 22 tip.
Thanks for your help.

The most I have had to cut back was to a #16 tip and the rest off the butt. to 10"6" a little soft for jiging.
Make sure it's what you want because Fuji does not make a tip any bigger than a #18.
If you plan on using braided lines the other brand tips will not hold up.

I agree with Mike on the cranberry under wrap. I used two different reds (No CP) on the cran underwrap and got a real nice blend with a Plum blank.
