Southern Rock

Instead of lumping them all in one post I thought we would list the bands and tunes we luv below. Was a big fan of the souther rock phenomena and was lucky to see many of these bands live.

See posts below or above you know the bands

I'd have to say the Allman Brothers, The Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. These are the only one's I have in my music collection. I'm interested in hearing some other southern rock bands to check out and add to what I have.

This is why I am a surfcaster." - D.J. Muller

Charlie Daniels Band was always awesome in concert. They could rock with the best of them. A lot of people don't realize how good their first several albums were, not the devil went down to Georgia crap and the stuff towards end. Albums like Nightrider and Fire on the Mountain and Saddle Tramp. Take tune's like Funky Junky or Birmingham Blues. Those tunes cranked.

I'm a big southern rock fan.
Big fan of these guys

Gotta wonder how big they would have become if not for the plane crash in 1977
Allen Collins is one of the most under rated guitarist in rock !

great band I put them in their own heading below somewhere. I really like their earlier stuff the best which I posted below.
Ron you familiar with Sea Level. I bet you would dig them being an educated music fan.

Tom Petty - I guess more of a southern rocker than a "southern rock" band . Last time I saw him, doing the song Rebels stuck in my head. I know he was born somewhere in Dixie.
