Have not tried it, so I cannot say for sure. Given the description "marine grade, rod building, saltwater applications", I would say it could be worth trying out.

Great another method. Guess I will have to buy a small amount and try it. P.T.B. "sucker born everyday", that's me.

ok..nuts and bolts of this stuff[maxclear]....stays clearer much longer then anything else on the market.

can be thinned with 90 proof booze and or a$$ a tone without loosing any

it's as thin as sys3 clearcoat.
//////////////////////////////
Max sealer..this one everyone may like.....used as a sealer and or top coat.

one part [something like waterborne/not oil] that can be sanded without getting gummy.

it's also used on surfboards as the topcoat.

dip your plug[sealer-dries fast]..sand..prime..paint...then you can dip or spray with the same stuff on as the topcoat....first coat needs to be scuffed if you want additional coats...But you don't need to scuff the other coats, just the first one.

he also said that sell to alot of plug builders and have gotten no bitching[bad feedback] from this stuff....tough as nails too.

they also make the resin for bullet proof glass..

but anyways..go to the e bay site and look for the number270002640689...this will tell all..even sticks to tefflon.

I asked why the high shping[I'm cheap] said flat rate po is only like 6-7 dollars..he said chemicals,,needs to be pkged right so it doesn't blow up at 30,000 ft. ..best volume rate for what they do is ups...guess I gotta eat the shping if I want some.

there's a ps. as to why I'm after this one coat sealer/t.coat...I know someone who used one part [floor/laytex/waterborne] poly on a plug....got lot's of fish on it....not nearlly a scratch on it..hmmm!

It will be interesting to see how it works. I've got to use up my enviro-tex first then just maybe I'll give it a try after the holidays.

Another common reason for high shipping via UPS ground not air as it says is that the sellers on Ebay are raising their shipping costs to cover the Ebay and Paypal fees on every transaction. This way sellers can show a lower price and pay less fees overall to Ebay. Ebay is starting to try to enforce lower shipping on everyone doing this. So to make the same profit sellers will have to raise the sell it now price to bring their profits up and thus Ebays also.

cool product

100 % customer satisfaction thus far.... is unheard of...
used in conjunction with bullet proof glass...hmmm ...wow
---------------------------------------------------------------------
still it seems....and this is just my brain thinkin outta the box...kinda....
that the power of the many at S-B to buy this product in larger quantities
and then divide the order up afterwards... is not being used.

Don't waste your money guys.

I got some to try, did a dip test on some yesterday am. (24 hours drying time)

5 lures

2 single dips

3 double dips

Took one single dip this morning and water tested submerged 30 minutes.

.510 oz to start/.615 after
Mic'd diameter before and marked .7065/after .747

Also the coating was soft and could be scratched off with fingernail.

Double dips were done in the recommended 10 minutes intervals. The finish on them was alligatored after a hour or so.

I'll stick with what I got, never had a problem with it.

More snake oil.

Free quart to whoever wants it.

Shouldn't that say banana oil?

Thanks for biting the bullet and testing it for us before we went and spent the money. Is that the only product you got from them to try?

The clear was very thick which I was told was suppose to be like water[I like thin] anyways, It went on like it had hopes of being a good maybe..then when I checked it this morning after spinning all nite..it looked like melted clear gum balls all over the plug..scratch one swimmer/needle and clearcoat.

then I tried the sealer on a bare plug...dipped it..let it hang to dry..that came out good...but then I dipped a needle in the jug and pulled it out...first coat was fine..let dry.....second dip ate the first coat..$&^%*&... crap....should have known when I first opened the box and saw the cheap printed out label on the jugs that this stuff was headed to be labled gutter juice cause that's where it belongs..kicked to the gutter.

Had to try it..back to sys3..

That suxs.oke: I have learned a lesson I hope. I'll save mine for the next toxic waste day at the town dump. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Just goes to show how desperate we are to find an easier, better way to do the finish coat. P.

I'll admit I was wathching this thread and hoping! A one part epoxy that you can use as a sealer and finish coat...doesn't get much better than that! Guess that's why they say...If it looks to good to be true, it probably is.
