Zelensky's speech to Congress

Omg. Fox new hosts like Tucker and others bashing his appearance like nothing I’ve ever seen

From complaints about how he was dress. to outrage that Nancy held up the Ukraine flag . Suggesting it should have been the Texas flag seeing that their the ones being invaded . And theirs no money given in the current funding bill

And what’s in it for the United States helping Ukraine . Once again republicans suddenly claiming fiscally concerns with Ukraine

When it very clear many are pro Russian anti Europe and won’t govern or allow any perceived successes for sitting president. Or their angry cultists base will Turn on them

Sorry Taiwan you’re screwed the GOP won’t help you when you need it

Sadly they are and we’re less concerned with the last potus and their own members in congress behavior before during and after Jan6th Their just shameful hypocrisy laden pathetic party

Is it a wonder that Russian propaganda features Faux news.

Andrew Clyde of Georgia, Boebert and Matt Gaetz did not stand for Zelensky.

Reagan couldn't win the R nomination now.

Kevin McCarthy refused to escort Zelensky to the Capitol rotunda

Boebert and Gaetz refused to go through security screening

They also refused to stand or clap during his speech & were on their phones the whole time

Do you need any more proof the GOP is the Government of Putin?

Since the usual suspects are using Zelensky's visit to whine about how expensive aid to Ukraine is, so it's a good opportunity for this CEPA report that notes that for just 5% of the US military budget, we've disabled 50% of Russia's military power.

From a humanitarian, human perspective the war in Ukraine is a disaster which must end as soon as possible. From that same perspective and given Russia's record of atrocities, https://foreignpolicy.com/2022/04/06...es-war-crimes/ it must end with Russian withdrawal.
But from a pure realpolitik perspective, Putin's war was a massive blunder that has strengthened the US global position, degrading Russian capabilities (which frees up resources for other threats) and strengthening our alliances (for those other threats).
Giving up on Ukraine because of the relatively minimal (for these sorts of things) cost would be a tremendous strategic own-goal. Given Russia's apparent intentions for the people of Ukraine, it would be a humanitarian disaster.

We have rarely bought so much, so cheaply.

GOP House members Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, Diana Harshbarger and Tim Burchett didn’t clap when Zelensky was announced

WoW wouldn’t even clap

As if that would suggest supporting him? It just a polite gesture

But not clapping is a clear indication of their intentions, not to support him and just being rude to dignitaries, a president of a foreign nation which is a US ally..

Zelensky's visit shows neither Ukraine nor US want peace, Russia and Republicans says

In a survey conducted in November, just over half of Republican voters supported aid to Ukraine - down from 80% in March.

Nearly half of Republicans think the U.S. is sending too much support to Ukraine as it battles Russia’s invasion, according to a new poll from the Wall Street Journal, a figure that has jumped in recent months, as some key GOP lawmakers threaten to cut back on U.S. aid to Ukraine.

Not a lot of free thinkers in the GOP

They just parrot what they are told to parrot. From open borders to stole elections , to transgender people and gay are grooming Children

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson went on a bizarre tirade against Volodymyr Zelenskyy, complaining that the Ukrainian president was “dressed like the manager of a strip club” when he addressed Congress on Wednesday.

as we know, no one’s ever addressed the United States Congress in a sweatshirt before, but they love him much more than they love you,” he told viewers.

Tucker Carlson accuses Volodymyr Zelensky of waging a “war against Christianity”

TUCKER CARLSON: Zelenskyy's visit represented 'bipartisan masochism'

mas·och·ism
/ˈmazəˌkizəm/

the tendency to derive pleasure, especially sexual gratification, from one's own pain or humiliation.

They seem awestruck. Not since a young Fidel Castro showed up in New York wearing battle fatigues has this country's aging leadership class tittered more loudly in delight

Ukraine's borders matter. Ours don't matter.

Because as you just saw, Zelenskyy has arrived in Washington to make more demands. He's the houseguest who would not leave. And every moment we tolerate him, the demands become bigger.

So the leader of a foreign government dressed in a sweatshirt waltzes into the United States Congress and starts demanding money. And then has the gall to tell the people sitting there, who are giving him tens of billions of dollars more of your money, that it is not charity, it's an investment. Really, what are the returns on that? And by the way, what's the point of it? What is the goal here? What's the justification for it? Do we have a historic debt to Ukraine? Do we have a historic animosity with a non-Soviet Russia? No, no. How do we win here? What's in it for us? Isn't this our country? And where do you get off talking to us like that? Do we hate ourselves so much? Do we have so little respect for the United States of America that we put up with that, that we'll applaud it? Thank you, sir. May I have another? What's wrong with us? What's wrong with our leaders? And where is this going?

But he has no influence over the GOP or that’s what gop supporters will tell us.. they’ll say he is no different than Rachel Maddow. That’s how they convince themselves they didn’t read what they read or hear the words he spoken while watching the video.

It’s truly amazing to watch and very very scary that so many Americans are so gullible

Tucker Carlson's followers in the Kremlin are very happy with his response to President Zelensky's speech last night.

He's being showered with praises on Russian state TV: "The wonderful Tucker Carlson," they called him.

Let me be clear There is a small group in the Republican Party and conservatives Americans which I despise with all my Heart

Who are not entitled to their beliefs or opinions when those beliefs and opinions attempt to over turn national election or support seditious intent and weaken our democracies

Because they cannot respect the ballot box
