How many times have you had that moment that puts a lump in your throat, realizing they are no longer little girls... I've had a few, mostly at any chorus concert where she has had a solo... She's been loving being in chorus and drama productions at school, so we didn't hesitate when she asked a few months ago if she could take private voice lessons. She told me she had a solo coming up at awards night a few weeks ago... glad I got there early enough to get in the front row, but after the first 3 or 4 words, I was wishing I had brought some sunglasses... Seventeen years... where did it go?!?
