He almost lost to a guy campaigning on pretty liberal issues for Texas, he can't afford to alienate too many constituents. |

Pretty hard to beat an incumbent Senator, now add in past Presidential candidate.
I assume O'Rourke was not pushed on Fox and nobody in the USA has more media presence than Trump.
O'Rourke did very well in that race and Cruz doesn't want to go thru that again. |
