I think I need to take a long walk

Just feels like it's time, and it has been way too long.

Any intel on parking enforcement in the area?

Parking enforcement was off the charts in Lobsterville during the Derby.

Nice to have some company out there, just not a crowd. I take the walk (and other long walks as well) to avoid the crowds.

'Tis the time to take Long Walks.

I do not know how enforcement is specifically, other than it has been more difficulty, generally.

Parked at Lobsterville last week (Thurs and Fri). No issues and lots of spots. No fish, though lots of bait going out of Meneshma.

Menemsha used to be pretty low key, now there’s buses shuttling groups of people back and forth. I wish things didn’t change so fast.
Parking seems to always be limited at lobsterville.

Tribal police swung through the lot about every hour and ticket all non-residents in the resident parking slots the entire derby, When there are fish there is no other parking. I think I collected 5 last year. Driving a rental with Illinois plates meant I only received said tickets.

Next year tickets will be $100 per event.

Since covid it seems like the enforcement around access points is way worse. Might just try out Fire District first as a trial run and just swing by the other parking lot to see what I see. Mostly any change in the signage I suppose. Or "presence" of enforcers.

So, what is the intel about parking on the Lobsterville Road-- re fines and enforcement-- NOW, post Derby, and middle of the night?

not on island, but my guess is there are plenty of non-resident parking spaces open and enforcement has likely lost interest in making the drive by to check.

Usually after Labor Day parking would be fine but been awhile since I have been down there so maybe it changed.
