Compressor Question

I've gotten my hands on this compressor and am wondering what/where to get a fitting so that I can use this with my Airbrush. Checked homies with no luck.

Figured I'd ask the experts. Any Suggestions would be much appreciated.

Mine connects up to a 1/4 NPT (National Pipe Thread) fitting I believe.
Homies should definitley carry them. Aren't most airbrush hoses universal? I could be wrong.
The fitting above is a 1/4 NPT, the threaded side that is.

Nice compressor TDF, they make good stuff.

Depending on your airbrush, you should be able to buy a hose with the proper snap on connections.

check where the nail guns are.. they usually have a decent selection... that compressor will work great, ive used it to power 3 framing guns and it keeps up nicely

Are you having trouble finding a fitting that fits the hose for the airbrush? If that's the problem try an art supply shop or a craft store(wherever sells your brand of airbrush). Most of the home compressors that I've seen are 1/4" NPT but some airbrushes use machine threads(mine was 10-32). If you know the thread size, you can order the fitting from McMaster/Carr(or any tool supply house).

Most auto parts stores carry all kinds of air fittings, at least Napa does.

when i hooked mine up, i had to go through the selection of brass fittings in the plumbing section of lowes.i just took the 1/4"" air fitting and the line for the air brush with me and mixed and matched until i had something that worked

Homies has all that you need. Your airbrush is 1/4" and all the accessories in the compressor area will fit with a little checking.

I adapted my compressor outlet to a quick connect and my hose to a male fitting for the quick connect. I also made a small fitting to allow me to run two airbrushes from the compressor at once. All the fittings are found at home depot. I enclose the picture for your use.

I've got the same compressor, I have it hooked to a 10 gallon auxillary tank and have it hard piped arond the shop...

Depending on the airbrush you have, Michales or AC Moore should have the hose that goes from the brush to the air sorce..

Here are a few pics of the hose and brush set up I am currently using ( the regulators I am now using are a little different and made by watts, I dont have a pic of them here) this may gice you a few Ideas, the "plug" end of the hose is as others have said 1/4 NPT..

Thanx for all of the responses guys, I brought the hose with me today and will give homies another try. There's an AC Moores right down the street from it so I'll try there if homies falls through

GF That pic should work great...thats the same hose I have for my airbrush.

Scott thanx for the Offer....I'll give homies another look and see if I can find it....I'll post My Success/Failure in that respect

SK I do remember seeing ones like that there yesterday......The actual fitting wasn't matching up with what I was seeing in my head.....another reason I brought the Hose today

I bought all my pneumatic parts at Lowes. Do to the tool dept where the compressors are on display. Change everything on the hose if necessary. Don't forget the moisture trap!

It helped that I brought the hose with me this time.
