Why are you grumpy??

The last few weeks have sucked here is my list.
1. I'm on vacation for the week (usually my first good week of fishing) BLOWN OUT!!!!
2. Yesterday, I ran over a nail at the new house/construction site
3. The new house/construction site
4. The last three trips to my Spring honey hole smelled like good cheebah.
5. I'm bald
6. Last week, while trying to get bait, one of my legs fell into some type of animal den that was totally hidden by leaves. Thank God it was my good leg. My bad one was safely tucked under my armpit. I was doing the splits like a junior high cheerleader, and got stuck. I finally got myself out, caught no bait.
7. Went to another bait spot. Wet shoes from the last fiasco caused me to slip on a rock. I embedded a hook in my thumb (again) as I tried to break my fall. Again, no bait.
8. My brother Rick likes men....... a lot

I'll tell ya why I'm so EFFIN grumpy!!!

I built a new home in a country-like, VERY nice area....you know, grass, trees, yards that aren't tarred or cemented...I can no longer lay a folding chair across my bedroom window and crawl into the next house over, kinda deal...Those who've lived in the inner cities know what I mean. I could have made pornos of my neighbors and they'd never had know it..... , pray that you weren't my neighbor
Anyway...ever since moving out here I've noticed a very strange phenomenon. It didn't happen during the winter time...but when Spring broke through...(or at least tried to break through)...it started.
This very LOUD and ANNOYING noise that I never had to deal with before. Sometimes I lay there for over an hour with my blood boiling because I can't sleep. Back in the city, I could sleep through police sirens, car alarms, fire engines, junkies in the alley below...but this.... noise around my house just kills me. They must be on steroids out here...It sounds like a damn orchestra!!! My wife says I'm nutz....but I can't help it. It comes through the windows, the walls...I feel like they're in the same room with me. As soon as I start hearing it, I feel like I focus in on it which makes it even worse. I try to find them but I can't...I think I'm closing in on the sound, but they're not there....
AM I REALLY GO NUTZO???

Mikey, how can I make it STOP??
How can I stop the DAMN NOISE that won't let me sleep???

...oh, did I mention....I'm also a balding man....but still struggling with Elmer's glue to hold the last few strands that I have. I refuse to look beautiful...I enjoy the breeze that lifts those few folicles on my head. I don't comb it anymore...too afraid of derooting them...but I'm proud, they're still there!!

OK...enuff grumpage from me.............for now.

BTW.....I think these are the culprits of ......."THE NOISE"
Is it only when they rub their legs....or when they rub their fannies like in the picture???

ear plugs

it sounds like there are very many hiding places surrounding your house....

the best time to hunt them is in the early morning when they are cold.

you dont have enough toads but they croak too...

you could use a duck.... but they quack...

It was probably spring peepers, since crickets wouldn't be making any noise this time of year. (It's too early and too cold for them.)
The spring peepers are these little itty-bitty frogs that have a call that beats the band. The best way of describing it would be to ask if you ever saw an old Sci-fi movie call "Them!"
It's an old black and white horror movie about giant ants out in the Nevada desert.
The sound they used for the ants in the movie is almost identical to that of the spring peepers.
Depending on your location, you could also have some tree frogs, which are more like toads, and they also start their chorus in the spring.
Ain't nature grand?

....I do have some peepers, but I normally see the crickets lined up outside the garage doors in the morning.....they must think I'm serving soup out of there or something.

I got rid of the one that made it into the garage - Professor, let the bad luck cometh!!

Bloo....Last night I stepped outside and spotted a skunk in the neighbors yard. I stood and watched it for a few. Then started to listen to the owl the racoons going at it and also heard some ducks chattering (in there sleep??!!!) oh yea and the peepers too. Then I thought to myself "imagine there are people who have to listen to sirens all night etc. and I am so lucky to have this"

Bloo...I remember back in the day when I used to go to sleep and the last thing I'ld hear was. "I need some stuff, I got the money, please I need some more stuff " witha lot of #@%^& in between.

I'm grumpy cause I can't find any immigrants to work and now I'm stuck with all these lazy %$#@ americans who don't know what its like to go without or don't have parents to teach them and they still wanna get paid at the end of week. Un &%$ real!!!
