He did two live records at a palce called Slim's which are both worth checking out. Cold is thenight was also a good record. According to something I read he was mentored by Mike Bloomfield and you could not have a better mentor if you wanted to play the blues.

I've seen him at Slims a few times in SF. For what its worth, Slims is owned by Boz Scaggs JLW was local and would pop up at a lot of festivals. I bet I've seen him a dozen times. I like some of his stuff but some gets a little too polished, I like blues a bit grittier.

thanks guys I think I will take in his show and really leaning towards the Tinsley Ellis show as my first choice. May take the daughter.
