When will it be time to call it a season?

When will youi plan on putting the kayak away for the season?

I plan for sometime just before/around Thanksgiving!

Yeah, I guess when the 'yak start riding ON TOP of the water, it may be time to prep for ice fishing season?

Put the yak away this weekend.
It was a tough decision as I was up near Winnipesaukee with trout rising on a cold Nov morning, and I couldn't cast as far as they were from where I was standing. Of course I also didn't have my fly gear, so tossing spoons and worms was the best I could do.
I toyed with the idea of having "one last fling", but when you're standing of a frost coated dock in 24 dgree air, it tends to make you re-think you choice of getting wet!!!

On the plus side, I am storing my yaks at my brothers house, which is where I also store my portable ice shanties, so in went one fishing item, out came another!!

Now all I need is a deep freeze for an early winter "first ice" trip!!!!!
