Big surf coming

Was hoping to splash the kayak later in the week in Westport, but looks like some big surf is going to put those plans on hold.

Took a look at lunchtime ....waves were hitting the rocks at the nubble pretty hard. Police happened to come by and were warning some people with small children to not get too close ...

Any reports on south coast surf today, getting conflicting reports based on marine weather I check, was hoping to get out on the Kayak off Gooseberry? Hearing big surf still kicking it up down there, might have to postpone.

Checked again today at lunchtime.... looking across the mouth of the river from the knubble at horseneck beach ... things had calmed down a lot since yesterday. Looked like just a normal amount of surf for that area today.
