Going to be a great trapping season

Last night I set eleven traps. Two in the garage, three in the basement and six in the attic. Two of the traps in the basement were untouched this morning. One of the attic traps was debaited but did not pop. All the others had dead mousies in them.

8 out of 11 is a pretty good haul, I expect to be selling fur coats by Springtime.

I go with putting D-Con trays all around. Never see or smell anything dead but with time the trays become empty!

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Use peanut butter for the traps.
The decon trays are also a good choice, but I have had a few dead mice I could smell but couldn't find. Really good for wiping them out though

The only trouble with decon in the house if the friekin mice get in your wall before they die the smell will knock you over for a week or two.

Peanut Butter with some bird seed mixed in will get them into the trap every time.

+1 for the cat
I use peanut butter in the shed when I want them gone out there. No decon because of the cat and dog and toddler.

I have a killer kittycat. Nothing is alive anywhere near my house for long, but he just isn't interested in the in house mice. Last night I only bagged 5 in 12 traps. I set a whole bunch where I have had the most success. I'll post results daily until I run out of mice.

My cat is an outdoor cat that is constantly on the prowl. Even tangled with a red fox this summer. Unfortunately he thinks he is off the clock inside. What about the glue traps?

cats and Doors

they hate being locked out or IN

they MUCH prefer to have them open a crack
so they can open them as they please

knowing this: i'll prop open the back screen door
leave the storm door open

and then leave the kitchen door open just enough
to lure him in... or OUT, as the case may be
they absolutely cannot resist it ---PERIOD---
~
Mice are similar minded but what they want
is a hole to crawl in... to feel safe in there

that is "WHY" THE METAL BOX TRAP WORKS.

i can leave it outside with NO bait in it
and i'll catch three mice at once

same idea as a lobster trap...just smaller

12 traps, one stinkin' mousie. I'm either getting worse at this, or I'm running out of mice.

We had a mouse problem in my college apartment one year and set some glue traps. We found 2 traps with a mouse leg stuck, but no mouse. The third trap was empty.

We discovered the best way to catch the mice was to sit in the dark and drink a lot. When the mice scurried across the kitchen floor, we'd jump into action and shoot them against the wall with hockey sticks. It worked pretty well.

You are lucky you don't have these running around the house, inside or out!
