That Mem Day weekend run was good practice. Have to get better at timing the canal current, it's going the wrong way again today (this evening).

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

Great trip for a maiden voyage of the Fishbucket to the canyons. RT from Boston 410 miles. Left Boston Fri about 5PM, picked up 50 macs on the way (survived pretty well until hitting 75d water), stayed in Menemsha Fri night arrived after midnight. Fueled up Sat morning and headed south. Lines in the water about noon and trolled to 10:30PM. Picked up several nice mahi and rat yellowfins. Had several lines out all night but dead. First hour plenty of marks including swords on the finder but clear rest of night. Sunday started troll about 5:30am (had some late sleepers) and picked up few more mahi. On the way in were tried tile fishing and 3rd location we found the nest. Capt Mike and the Fishbucket are prepared always for any type of fishing. Tiling we used electric reels in waters 350-500ft deep. Spent Sunday night again in Menemsha. Monday morning fueled up again and hit Devil's Bridge for scup and black sea, they were very cooperative.

Hooked up one good sized yellowfin Sat afternoon and Mike fought for almost 25min before losing on a high flyer. Had another fun moment Sunday when hooking a mahi ahead of the high flyer and it took us right into the flyer, along with all 9 lines!!!! Got them all back but Mike had to do some swimming to get the rope out of the prop, twice! The rest of us stayed on mako/great white watch!

Oh yea, Mike rigged up a big mac for trolling, it lasted maybe 15-30sec before being inhaled by a big mahi, didn't hook up. We did hook up a few minutes later, same or different mahi?

Made from Starboard, almost 4 feet long. Mike makes fast work of cleaning 100's of fish on that table on the return trip home. Great also for preping bait.

Hook protector Buzby proved not only once, but twice, that removing the plastic hook protector tubing off of the new lures is truly optional.
