Dinner at Coast Guard off season

enjoying some local off season flavor

older couple behind me, woman says "they were bastards, they were bastards..."

older gent at the bar later drops whiskey tango foxtrot.....

business guys blah blah blah....unfiltered beer...blah blah....Oban (actually I am very Ok with Oban)...blah blah.....appellation...vintage....

winter is getting a bit long in the tooth, but I enjoyed the listening in to the off season chatter..except for the beer and wine guys..not really locals me thinks

maybe Newport next week

Sonoma dinner was interesting as well the week before. Some folks complaining about their new tax assessments at $900,000. The land was worth way more than the house on the land, but never did hear where exactly. At least they liked the food.

Probably shoot for a Newport spot or two next week. Maybe a beer spot DZ?

I suppose I should stop by the shop as long as I am in the neighborhood too.

Huddy - somewhere on Broadway for food and beer, Pour Judgement or Malt have good beer selections and good meals. If you want a brewery Ragged island in Portsmouth some evening when they have a food truck. Irish week in newport so be prepared

I ran into him at the bar in the Providence Westin years ago. We'll at least I remember his security pushing me out of the way.

Do they sell cans or just on tap? It's very close...

We usually go at least once a week. Their surfers end is solid. Kid freindly which is a huge plus.

I did pick some up. The porter on draught was great, the cans taste like most other good canned craft beer. I'll go back though to shop local.

Looks like I will be in the neighborhood for a while. I was thinking Pour to start, then Ragged next time. Mostly traveled home this week. Likely stay up in RI a few next week. Hotel rates are pretty reasonable in and around Newport lately it seems.
