Trump stops pay raises

So much for being for the little guy

President Donald Trump announced Thursday he was canceling across-the-board pay raises for civilian workers across the federal government, citing the “nation’s fiscal situation.”

“We must maintain efforts to put our nation on a fiscally sustainable course, and federal agency budgets cannot sustain such increases,” the president wrote in a letter to congressional leaders.

this doesn't affect the Military ...

its Amazing to see his his ability to to attack and marginalize huge swaths of people he feels are against him ,, including those who voted for him ..

Performance base for Trump means to Bending the knee" is a formal act of submission to a king, or lord or THE POTUS, a recognition of authority and a demonstration of fealty.

Socialists: Some people are paid too much! We must have government manipulate their pay!

Socialists: Someone in Government is manipulating pay of workers!!

Frankly it sucks for those workers not to get a COL raise (sucked when I didn't get mine). But many Guv workers are paid higher than their private sector people, particularly WRT benefits.

And the budget is out of control, we need less Guv workers and the guv actually doing less.

If the compensation package for government workers is currently better than the private sector you won’t lose many employees
However if it is not you will lose the most aggressive and energetic first
Of course it’s limited to certain government employees that this applies to

Nothing new - we went a few years without a raise during the Obama years. I'm going on 40 years in DOD - we have a good deal compared to most.

So many people forget that government workers were paid far below the private sector hence the raise mechanism... but since the private sector started screwing their employees... these employees are now upset at government and union pay .. instead of there bosses

the only thing in the budget out of control is Military spending was budgeted at $886 billion.
