Very good machine. A bunch of guys use that lathe with great results.
If you can get it for that price what else is there? except maybe free shipping.
Buy it.

The most widely used chisels are;
1" skew
3/4" roughing gouge
3/16" diamond parting tool

Don't have the lathe, so I can't really comment on that. Tools, get decent ones. I use a 3/4 inch gouge and a 1 inch skew, both Sorby. All I ever needed to turn plugs.
