Throw it in a bag of rice - that should leech out the moisture....

SNOT the moisture that gets it boys you don't WANT to suck out the moisture you wanna keep it wet til you get it to the tech. Seal it in a double zip lock. It's the minerals that kill it...as in when the water dries it leaves circuit traces where dey ain't sposed to beeeeeeee.

If it is indeed water damaged Link then you will probably buy a new one. Its virtually impossible to repair water damage anymore with the quad density boards they have these days the water gets inside the pc board and leaves the minerals everywhere. junko dood. Most of the stuff thru my shop that is h2o is replaced now. 15 years ago you could spend a few hours removeing each component, not anymore some parts are smaller than the period at the end of this sentence now adays.

Good luck. Good grumpage. Irish hehe

It actually works except the only noise it will make is static.

Sucks, everyone has done that. Never stick the phone in your shirt pocket. Seat starts to drop and you reach...there it goes. Saved mine only once. Damn belt clip broke just as it caught the seat belt while I was exiting truck on ramp with boat in water....plop and save.
I must have been fast ...it still woorks.

Clean the battery terminals with an eraser or borrow a friends battery. There may not be enough voltage (charged electrons) in your present battery to power the current s#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g display.

Well it powers up and can use to call and most of the functions except the camera and the display does not light up, I hate that sticker that turns red when it gets wet. My Cingular gal is a tough cookie I told her what happened and tried every angle to get a new phone or a discount . it's gonna be 175.00 to replace I guess I;m gonna live my mutant phone
some of your replys are FUNNY and any helpfull input was great.
thanks ML Sr.
