New driving laws in effect in MA

Since they have done such a bang-up job curtailing speeders, reckless drivers, drunk drivers, and texting drivers they feel it's time to focus on all those dangerous drivers that don't use their wipers in the rain and headlights when it's dark.

So in their infinitely asinine logic they have initiated new laws that prohibit driving without wipers on and lights on during rainy weather and lights during low-light conditions.
Getting caught will be a $5 fine and an insurance surchargeable event. I wonder whose wet-dream idea was this??

I mean, they can't even enforce the laws they have now, so why would they even consider this a smart move?

Keep in mind that the ideas are sound as I, but to make a law for something that should be common sense is waste of intelligence, which they apparently are short on!

OK, I'm done...soap box is free now!

I am a legend in my own mind!

what about the timed released mode?
intermittent as they are ON
but not ON "continuously" because there's insufficient
raindrops to wipe off..... so you choose a timed response
and sometimes the DRIVER is the "INTERMITTENT switch
because the rubber blade is screeching instead of wiping.

Personally i keep a pair of inexpensive yellow shooting glasses handy
because it turns a rainy day visibility into a sunny day clear view day

ALSO, i treat my windshield with RAIN-X the day BEFORE it's going to RAIN
because this SILICON window glass treatment makes the raindrops RACE
up the windshield and fly off instead of them getting flattened out by wind
into an Omeba odd shape and hang around. Using RAIN X you don't see any
difference having the wipers on because it works so well.

This is what you get when you have a runaway state budget and don't raise taxes. The money collection becomes very creative.

Not to make this political but why not control the runaway state budget? I don't know about you, but my pockets have bottoms to them

I'm with you there. All I'm saying is that governments spend and spend then have to hold their promise that they won't raise taxes and the. Presto !!!! Crazy laws happen that yield financial windfalls for the state. I heard one state made it illegal to let your car warm up in the driveway and went around ticketing everyone... Same deal

so then you have to put a small space heater in your car to warm it up.

they should talk.

here we have this insane technology to monitor traffic flow visually
even with robotic cameras and the traffic lights are running on timers.

the first 3400 mile drive without a driver has just been completed
so there's no excuse for the maybe? someday? we'll have the technology
