I dont think I can read the news anymore

More complaining, sorry, but I want to puke each day I read the news.
Why doesnt Obama just deficate on the graves of our soliders, the other heroes that suffered and worked to build this great country?

Heres the latest -
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Barack Obama on Thursday embarks on a trip to Latin America, where the leader of the world's lone superpower said he seeks to engage in talks with the region's leaders as equals.

Equals? Third world nations that historically have butchered their people, allowed drug lords to run rampant and who's people live in tyranny?
EQUALS????????

This is what you get when you elect a professor as president. Yes, BUSH SUCKED, but this guy is going to lower this country to level of all other countries. Thats what liberals do, its not about "better" its about "equal". Dummies are equal to smart kids, people who make less money are equal to the wealthy. Hard work is equal to no work. You will see the biggest decline in Americas world leadership over the course of the next 4 years. This guy is pandering to EVERYONE!!! WE TOLD YOU SO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jim. Bush lowered this country to 3rd world status.. Bush blew our budget surplus.. Bush destroyed our credibility with other world leaders..

shall I go on?

This country is running on a giant money printing ponzi scheme right now as far as I am concerned..

What would you like to see Obama do? Continue to boss the rest of the world around like bush did?? We do not have the leverage any more.. sorry.

And that article says we are the lone global super power is ridiculous...
we're broke.. shall I go on??

your nuts Neb. During a massive recession, one we call the worst in decades, our unemployment is 8-9%. Care to wager what latin americas is?
Want to see their air/water polution results?
Obama should represent this country for what it is. The greatest democratic free country in the world.

No leverage?????? Who do you think funds 90% of every penny latin america gets, via imports, or investments?

You're right.

Obama should march right in there and tell all those countries what they're doing wrong and how they should fix it.

Oh wait, that's what Bush did and it didn't work. What it did do is give more power to Chavez, who's in bed with the Russians, as surrounding countries gladly accepted the handouts and friendship offered by Venezuela.

After the last 8 years, I'm still mystified as to how you think being an arrogant prick like Bush to other countries will improve our foreign relations. The world is even smaller than it was when Bush took office - we need to stop pushing away every country other than Britain at some point.

how do you equate not being equal as arrogant prick?
I have people who work for me, I treat them with respect and dignity, but in the end I am more qualified and more experienced, so generally my opinion carries more weight. The US us not equal to Latin America and should not be treated as such. You guys keep comparing Obama to Bush, start compating Obama to successful presidents. Did they bow to Arab leaders, did they treat latin america as equals? Hell no.

that's what socialism is Jimmy..fair and equitable distribution of misery...and cheap toilet paper...except for the enlightened ruling class of course, they get the expensive toilet paper, they get to smoke, fly around in private jets, live extravagantly, all on the taxpayers dime while they are telling you how they are making your life better, creating jobs, providing free government everything if you just keep voting them back in...I'll take my chances with a capitalist over a socialist any day....

In terms of foreign policy, I think Obama needs to be compared to Bush. I don't think Obama has proven himself capable yet of repairing the damage done by Bush to international relations.

I still laugh when people mention the supposed bowing. Mostly because I think the whole thing is silly.

Anyway, according to your own words, Obama is not qualified or more experienced. So you *should* be a proponent of Obama going into the meetings seen them as equals.

Or is this just a matter of "The United States is better than them so they should praise us"?

I really need someone to define the "damage" Bush has done internationally? Our allies are still our allies and our enemies still our enemies. I think this damage is once again, media hype with little or no quantifiable evidence.

Currently, 61% of Americans approve of the way that Barack Obama is handling his job as president while 26% disapprove.

Ally*

Our only ally is Britain.

If you truly don't believe Bush did any damage to our international image and foreign relations, then you've been living under a veil of ignorance.

You are kidding right? Liberals hate America, freedom and Jesus. They are the evil that keeps us up at night. No, really, just ask my personal hero and the first female President of the United States.(if Obama doesn't appoint himself Emperor for life).

perhaps, enlighten me. I want tanglible, measureable proof.
Johnny, I truly believe 99% of the citizens of the world would love to see us fail. I believe that existed before Bush and after. They had more to react to with Bush, I but I highly doubt any minds were changed or that countries altered their policies towards us.

I think your problem is you read the first sentence of a story and then have such a fit you don't read any of the context for the statement.

Obama is simply stating that we need to work together to solve common problems where we share interests.

If you find this objectionable, I think I understand the source of your habitual frustration.

You're just n#^&#^&#^&#^&#^&g futz.

Spence, I have to give you this..you'd be a far better spokesman for the president than that smarmy moron that they roll out at press conferences...you have a much better grasp and delivery of all of the pertinent talking points.... you always seem to know exactly what he is thinking...weird....

Who else? Canada? They don't really have a choice, nor much of a military. The only real allies that count are European.

I should correct myself, you are correct. Japan is an ally as well - I was only really thinking of European allies and didn't consider the Pacific coast.
