Media Coverage Of The Sequester Cuts

Sequester fears take mainstream media hysteria to new heights | Fox News

Liberal Bob Woodward is reminding the media (who can't blame the GOP fast enough) that the cuts were Obama's idea. Back in 2011, Obama promised to veto any resolution that didn't include these cuts. Now Obama is acting as if the sky is falling, he's blaming the GOP, and the media is not questioning him on it.

How long, O Lord? (not long, it's coming...)

As Marco Rubio has said, any pain our citizenry feels as a result of the sequester (and there will be pain, but let's keep in mind we're talking about cuting 2.5% from an unbelievably bloated budget, it's like asking Norm Petersen from 'Cheers" to drop 5 pounds), is nothing compared to the pain that's coming if we don't right the ship.

In 12 years, interest on our debt and payments to SS and Medicare benefits, will consume 100% of federal tax revenue. Every cent that we spend on everything else, will have to be borrowed. Liberals, have fun explaining to your kids why every single cent of their tax witholding has already been spent on benefits to other people.

PolitiFact Virginia | Will entitlement programs and debt consume U.S. budget in 2025?

Nah, we don't have a spending problem. So what the the trustees os SS and Medicare predict that the unfunded liabilities are over $100 trillion, which is $300,000 for every living American? All we need to do is tweak tax rate on the jillionaires, and we'll be all set! We don't need cuts! Hip, hip, hooray!
