great stuff Eddie. I have pretty much all their cd's if you have any interest. I'll burn you some. My uncle turned me onto the New Grass Revival many years ago, when Bela was just getting going. I think I still like that stuff the best, more so than the modern stuff he does with the flecktones, although I do really like that too.

posted before but I can't get enough of this young stuff

I remember seeing them when Bela would solo while he walked around and bump into you...

One night I chatted with Vic Wooten for 30 minutes about computer graphics (my job) as he was trying to learn it on his Amiga

A few years later my ex was working at a bike store when Vic came in to buy some cycling jerseys. She thought he was a roadie and gave him a lot of crap.

Last time I saw them was at the Fleet Pavilion in Boston and it just wasn't the same. Robert Cray opened and nearly put the crowd to sleep.

Still, love the Tones.

Saw them at the Newport Yachting center last Saturday night. BTW - great venue for a concert. I sat next to a guy who played bass guitar - he said Wooten was arguably the best bass player in the world right now. Percussion was peformed on a Drumitar - wild instrument -google it. Bela's banjo sounded like a lead guitar. There was no saxaphone at this concert. Did have a fiddle player join in.
