Brace the camera on or against somthing if you dont have a tripod.
It will make a world of difference

exactly - it's not the lense. Use a tripod if you drink a lot of coffee like me and or increase the shutter speed

Ride the spiral to the end...............

looks like too small a file - when blowing it up on screen it shows pixels.
try a larger file when shooting.
