summer beers?

what are your favorite beers for summer?

right now i'd say brooklyn and harpoon summers are my go to. it would be amstel bright hands down if it were available in the states. although i may only like that so much because of where I get to drink it.

not a fan on any of the fruity summer beers, like sam adams.

See, I like the fruit beers in the summer, Watermelon, Blueberry.

Used to Like Pete's Wicked Strawberry Wheat.

Long Trail Blackberry Wheat is another good one.

Also tend to drink a lot of Wheat beers in the summer as well. Ithaca Apricot Wheat is really good

wasn't a fan of the Magic Hat summer.....who the hell puts Beet Juice in a brew

I grabbed a 12 pack of Cisco summer and it's pretty good. I like that it comes in cans, which is good on the concrete patio. Harpoon is another good one that comes in cans. I also like Sam summer but need to get out and try some of the others. I was told the Magic Hat is a new recipe this year. No beers.

Im not into fruit beers though, gimme a cisco whales tale in a cold can in the summer= happy camper. Can't wait to hit the brewery

something clever and related to fishing

I brought some Whales Tale over to Cutty last week. I liked it a lot, but it didn't seem to go over well with some of the other guys.

Love the Cisco and Harpoon Summers. I like a blackberry wheat or two on the beach. I also like the Pacifico Clara for a change of pace. I'll keep an eye out for the Fishermens Sunrise. Never tried that one. Cheers!

I'm not a huge fan of fruity beers but Boston Beer Company in Boston has a Watermelon Ale that is really good. It has a ale aftertaste and not a sweet watermelon flavor.

I'm not huge on fruity beers either, but on a nice summer cookout a Growler of Coddington's blueberry blonde is the sh*T.

I'm not big on really fruity beers, but I love the Grapefruit Ale from Whistler Brewing Company in Canada. We stopped in Victoria, BC on a cruise last week and I had it at a restaurant. Without a doubt the best summer beer I've ever had, and in my top 5 beers overall. I also tried the Alaska Brewing Company Summer while on the cruise and it was just ok, nothing special.

I remember about 20 years ago...we had been moving all day in 95 degree Iowa heat and were just dead tired.

The only beer we had on hand was PBR that had been in the car. It had too be 120 degrees but it tasted great.

I picked up the new Magic Hat Summer this past weekend on the recommendation of the guy at my local packy. It was pretty good, but not something I'd rush out to get next time.
