Kayaking reminds me of Fly Fishing ..

I was going to do a solo run to Hull today but the marine forecast seems a bit windy / larger seas .. Reminds me of years ago when I tried fly fishing . I fished North River .. wide open marsh land . I'd always look out the window at the tops of the trees to see how much they were blowing back and forth . If it was too windy I'd leave the fly rod at home and grab the plugging rod and go somewhere eles. After a while I lost interrest in the fly rod .

I understand what you're saying Eddie. Don't get discouraged. It's just the time of year.

Hit the ponds and lakes for a quick yak fix....

Yeah wind is a beeyach on a kayak, especially for us non-hobie people.

Up around my parts there is pretty much always some place to hide from the wind, it does take trial and error though. Sometimes by the map it looks like a spot should be sheltered from a northwest wind, then you get there and it sucks.
