chart upgrade

I recently got a new navionics chart chip for my plotter. my units are 4 years old and figured I was due. and holy s#^&#^&#^&#^& there is so much more detail. countour lines by the 1' when u zoom in. I've found so much new structure and drop offs I've never knew of. on every trip ive marked locations worthy of exploring. do yourself a favor if its been awhile and spend the $100

my 1st wife didn't like me fishing so much

You can also just spend $15 on the Navionics phone app and see the same thing if you don't have a unit that uses Navionics. It is sweet, like a back up chart plotter.

Which one did you get Paul? Boston/NY Platinum? I have an old chip I should probably upgrade and try. I have been using the lighthouse charts from the Raymarine unit I have and hate

My new garmin will make its own 1 ft contour lines with the sounder. So if you have the navionivs app on the phone you can play with while watching the Sox. Write down some lat longs you want to check out and go from there. Or view it live on the boat to get you there. Very slick for $15.
