Something to be thankful for...and thanks

Figured i'd post this here so i don't have to type this again...

FIRST I'd very much like to thank you guys for the emails and thoughts i've gotten in the last few weeks about my hand. there's some real cool guys on this site. I really do appreciate your thoughts and well wishes. It is amazing how fast your life can change over little stuff.

I just got back from the doctors...Biopsy came back yesterday and good news is the tumor was benign! Bad news is I can't still move the finger more than about 1/8" which he feels is due to them having to virtually sever one of the major nerves that the tumor wrapped around. He's a little concerned about the thumb twitching but I have to go back and see him in two weeks and we'll revisit that then. One more followup after that. PT starts monday, 6-8 weeks-they wanted me today but after the stuff this morning i said no. the hard part is ahead.

EIGHTEEN stitches taken out and the damn things were so small you couldn't see them all. Their scissors were bigger than my fly tying scissors I should have brought my own!

WAAHHOOOOOOOOOOO! I got alot to be thankful for today!

Happy FATHEAD FRIDAY!

That is great news. The waiting is the worse part. Been there. Now get back to making plugs.

Wow, I'm glad it's benign Scott, that's a relief. I hope the nerve is ok and you recover fully.

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

flap i don't hate anyones guts.

This has been going on for a few months now, maybe even three i don't even remember now...the whole winters been a big blur. I'll tell you guys this, it changes how you look at alot of things... like how you play with your kids, how much you kiss your wife, and just your overall your attitude towards other people and life in general. There's other guys on here with bigger problems than this, but hitting close to home really helps put things in perspective. There's more to life than arguing on fishing boards (but the popcorn is good sometimes)

peace man-theres better things in life to worry about..like am i having eggplant for dinner or a salad

One other thing you guys...and this is the part that hurts...I knew about this last february...and joked about it to my wife and others "I painted so many lures this year i look like arnold swarzenegger in my finger" no bs it never ever once crossed my mind that it was anything other than a muscle that had built up. last summer i noticed it had gotten bigger but STILL chalked it up to a built up muscle. ONLY when i grabbed something one day and had a twinge of pain/uncomfortable feeling in my hand/finger did i stop that night while having a cold one and remember that had happened, looked at it closer then started thinking about it and realized maybe something wasn't quite right. My doctor immediately diagnosed it as a tumor and sent me directly to the hand surgeon. mri's, doc appts, etc later and everything pointed to a tumor in the joint which by now had started causing pain on a fairly regular basis because of where it was. Doc says it's the largest one he had ever seen..great couldn't have been a bass huh?

REASON I tell you all this is maybe one person will benefit and stop something before its too late. I'm a very healthy but overweight guy and never ever expected anything like this, but looking back on it now i realize how STOOPID i was to not have this looked at when i first noticed it. If you ever see something that has any chance of being something not right get it checked out before it's too late.
