Duane Allman

There are so few film clips of him playing I live so I thought I'd post one.

Well, considering that Duane died in the fall of 1971, that clip would have to be almost 40 years old even if it was made shortly before he died.

I do not think any of them were over 23 when that film was made. Incredible how good they were. The only other footage of Duane I have seen was from an outdoor show in the Tom Dowd bio film the Language of Music. Unfortunately it did not have sound but the film is well worth checking out because he was a really interesting guy with diverse interests.

I try not to put numbers to things like that. They are too large.

Friend of a friend actually got a chance to play Duane's guitar when Greg was touring with the Nighthawks, and Twiggs was some sort of manger or whatever. Hanging around with them anyways. Even that was a long time ago.

no video footage but I really liked his sound when he sat in with Delaney and Bonnie.

A lot of people don't realize he did the guitar work on Boz Scaggs' "Loan me a Dime" in 69
