What's up with some people ????

Thursday I called and had a 30yd dumpster dropped off. So I loaded thursday and friday after work. I was trying to be neat so as to stay below the fill line. Yesterday I finished filling it except for some small stuff.

This morning I go out at about 7:30 to finish before the heat sets in. I walk over to the dumpster and a guy (I have no idea who he is) is standing in the dumpster pulling and prying around. I say "can I help you?" He then goes into a story of how his daughter has Lyme desease.......Finally he says "do you want me to stop?" I then basically told him to get the hell out of my yard. He didn't seem to care that he was making a mess of my neatly stacked dumpster.

Now I put a sign on it. KEEP OUT Maybe I should have written it in spanish too. What is up with some people? Going onto private property and rummaging through a dumpster.......

Some people are just selfish idiots. They have nothing to offer society but a lame excuse for their lame existance.
The Place looks nice, MAC. I gotta get one of those titanic dumpsters.

Other than that how's thing going?

Actually I threw a few good things in that I had no use for (your racks are still in the garage)

1 of the things was a wooden handled (2 hand) sythe. It is like new but of no use to me. I was going to put an old craftsman snowblower in but decided against it as they said "No oils".

Some scrap aluminum . A couple of old handsaws (warreted superior) with decent handles. Lots of old shingles and concrete rubble.

Thanks Fred. I put probably 800 hours into it in the last3 months. Home Depot loves me. I cringe every time I get the monthly bill.

I figure another month and I'll have the outside totally done. Then it is time to start the inside. Luckily the inside is in way better shape than the outside was.

I might even get to fish a night or 2 this fall. I also know I don't miss the trips to the Race at 4 bux a gallon.

Hi Karl, Yeah same house. I neglected the place for over 9 years with too much fishing. It really needed a lot of work. The way it was I would have gotten smoked when it comes time to sell it. I'd be very happy to be able to get what they tax me on it. The town says it is worth 295...... Yeah right.

I agree. If the guy had bothered to ASK, I probably would have said go ahead. Though the smart thing would be to say no. If he had gotten hurt after I said yes, I could have been up the creek.

Hi Mac your house looks great! I had heard of trees growing in your gutters at one time.

Looks great Dave. A lot of hard work there. Mimosa tree looks great too. I am jealous you got rain. We have not had a drop in over a month. All storms seem to skirt us and go thru your neck of the woods.

Hi Paul, You want the mimosa ??? I hate the darn thing. Thatches up the front lawn. Clogs the gutters and drops those huge seed pods later in the season. It's coming down this fall. The center is all rotted.

I'll probably be taking down 1 of the black walnuts as well. And maybe the large silver birch. All these are way over grown and now too close to the house for my peace of mind.

60K..... I have 2 of them. First one is here. Trunk is approx 2' in diameter. I'm guessing the tree is 55 to 60' high.

Second one is a little smaller but not much. Wonder how I'd go selling them? I figure Raven is joshing me on the 60K

But it would be interesting to see what I someone would pay.

I'll take those black walnut trees off your hands for free
They aren't as old and large as some I've seen, but it might yield some workable lumber.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. It's been a lot of work but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. All I have left to do is the small part of the back and 2 sides of the garage.

The main thing I hate about the trees is when the walnuts start falling. They have really beat the heck out of my lawnmower.

I know the walnut trees aren't worth much. I did have 2 tree cutters say they would take them down for free a coupple of years back. Needless to say I said no thanks.

Here is what it looks like now from the street. As can be seen the mimosa overpowers the house.

I got rid of the large garden and planted grass. The raised bed garden in the picture is almost more than my grandfather can handle.

Now to do something about the close to 50 rose bushes.....

Yeah Dave you are right it is overgrown, but a haircut would be nice. Problem just cheaper to cut her down. I like that color of the house, good choice.

Rav we got our first rain today and it took a friggin tornado watch to get it. So dry it is making it hard to get anything at all, except weeds, to grow in the garden. When you sending along some more.

This gives you an idea of how overgrown the yard is. I've already cut down an apple and a pear tree. They (the trees) still need thinning out.

The pond pic is the only fishing I've been able to do so far this year.
