Has AVG free been working for you okay? A couple of years ago it was giving me issues so I switched to AVAST free. I highly recommend it.

Have M$'s free "Security Essentials" running on another PC, and that's been ok as well.

Just a couple of other free options.

Avg has been amazing, i know what the boss is talking about i posted something last week on it.

Avg had some issues a few yrs back but they are back to being one of the best imho. Staples was offering. Free one over the weekend, you had to pay for it and the do the online rebate, which is easy with them. Trend micro security suite thats the one.

Also most of your internet providers offer you protect for free, however, make sure anything old that is still installed is uninstalled. Get the norton removal tool, and the mcafee removal tools they are free.

But the boss man is right this ones a nasty one. John think you should sticky this post for a bit, cause it can be a nasty one.
