B-17 crashes at Bradley Intl Airport

Just 15-20 minutes ago.
Vintage bomber there for show... Three hurt, initial reports. Crashed into shed/hanger while on landing approach.

Waiting in an airport for another flight and my wife just got a call that her niece knows two people on that plane.

Saw a bomber fly over last week while in Fairhaven, it had a smaller plane off its wing about 40-50 yards. Looked like a Corsiar. Really cool to watch them go by.

Seven fatalities from the crash.

A long time member from the early days was aboard and survived.

It was saddening to hear of that crash. hopes and prayers for those lost. Two years ago we were living in West Dennis with no clothes washer, went to Hyannis to the laundromat while my wife went to the hair dresser there. I went outside while the clothes soaked and sat on the bed of my truck, then I heard a loud roar, looked up and the B-17 and escort came rumbling into Hyannis AP. Was a very humbling thing. My dad was alive and asked if he'd like to go see the ships, maybe take a flight in the bomber. Nope, he'd heard from older friends , one a tail gunner, about their sorties, couple other pilots. Scarred the Be-Jesus out of him I guess. He did his stuff in the AF, that was enough, but those planes coming into Hyannis, man what a thing. brought tears to my eyes that day.
