The bigger question is how old are they, b/c it has been a while since you fished eels....

Last June

They were riggies and I had put them in a ziplock with kosher salt, so I never got a wild rotting smell. Just a little funk.

nice. my car smells terrible now with my waders, plugs, remnance of eels, plug bag, old clothes, smelly socks, golf shoes, and a cinnamon air freshener.

Its like a can of dr. pepper, 23 flavors

something clever and related to fishing

"Just rub a little funk on it" will have an entirely different meaning....

That same exact thing happened to me a few years ago. Well, exactly the same except that instead of eels I found the fingers of a hitchhiker I had picked up under my seat. I complete forgot that I hid them there when the cop pulled me over. It took me hours to get that smell out of my car.

I always find a few "preserved' ones under the console or in the battery trays at years end.. they do get odorous!

A good run is better than a bad stand!
