Suitable Eeling Stick?

I'm currently looking at a used factory Lami SB 136 3M spinning rod (something like 10 feet+). Yellow blank.

It's got a very soft feel, kind of like a rubber band, that would be good for throwing pencil poppers. Bassmaster has something like it that he uses for jigging.

Do you think it would be good for throwing eels at night, with braided line?
